Bold, organic, and unmistakably handmade, this one-of-a-kind bolo tie combines substantial sterling silver, genuine Sonoran Turquoise, leather, and the wonderfully unpredictable character of sand casting.
The silver centerpiece was sand cast by my husband, Milt, using a mold of his own making. Molten sterling silver is poured into the sand mold, creating a surface and shape that can never be reproduced exactly. Even when the same mold is used again, every casting develops its own character.
At the center is a beautiful piece of Sonoran Turquoise, chosen to complement the earthy, organic character of the silver. The design incorporates the Zia sun symbol, representing wholeness, connection, and the harmony of all directions and phases of existence.
This is substantial jewelry — the sterling silver centerpiece weighs nearly 2 ounces and has the presence of a true statement piece without feeling overly formal.

A BOLO TIE WITH A STORY
We are a husband-and-wife team creating jewelry together in our little studio in the Pacific Northwest. Milt works with the ancient and wonderfully unpredictable process of sand casting, while I work with silversmithing, stones, and handcrafted glass.
For us, the beauty is in the making.
The slight variations, textures, and imperfections created during the casting process aren't flaws — they're the evidence that a real person made this piece by hand.
This is jewelry for someone who would rather wear something original, substantial, and artist-made than something mass produced.
Wear it with denim and boots, a favorite linen shirt, a jacket, or even dressed up for an evening out. A bolo doesn't have to belong to one particular style — it can simply be your signature piece.
A distinctive piece of Southwestern-inspired artisan jewelry for men or women who appreciate craftsmanship, natural stone, and wearable art.
Thank you for supporting handmade artists and our small studio.
